Located and serving in northwest Atlanta since 1987, Towne View is a missional-minded Baptist church where diversity is celebrated and creativity is encouraged.
The individual chosen to be our Associate Pastor of Music and Church Life will be responsible for establishing, directing and coordinating worship through music. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating and supervising volunteers for adult, children and preschool Christian educational ministries.
Music Ministry Responsibilities should account for approximately 65% of the position:
Duties will include designing worship services that blend traditional and contemporary styles of Christian music. The individual chosen will be expected to build upon our current music program; including expanding and developing graded choirs and praise team.
Church Life Ministry Responsibilities should account for approximately 35% of the position:
Duties will include coordinating volunteers for all church life activities. Further duties will include directing Outreach, Bible Study Programming, Discipleship & Special Events.
Professional Experience and Education – Since the majority of this ministry position is dedicated toward our music, Towne View is seeking a committed Christian with a high level of musicianship and a strong background in music education, preferably a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music with graduate studies toward music and/or education. Organizational and computer skills would be a major advantage. The final financial package is contingent upon the applicant's combined professional experience, education and skills. Salary range is 40-60K.
