Job Description:
St. Paul United Church of Christ of Oak Harbor, OH, a growing, optimistic congregation with Spirit-filled and inspirational worship life and strong giving and mission support, located in a small town near Toledo, seeks to partner with a second staff person who will assist us and our Senior Pastor in continuing these and other positive trends and to carry them over into the areas of Christian Education, Youth, and other programs and ministries. We are praying for a candidate who is a team player yet capable of organized and effective leadership; who will be a magnet for kids and youth; and who is effective in teaching children, young people, and adults. While our preference would be to find an Associate Pastor who can focus on these responsibilities and also contribute in areas like visitation, worship leadership, and occasional preaching, we are open to other scenarios including part-time, DCE, Youth Pastor, or something similar. In any case, our ideal candidate would possess a sense of humor and an outgoing, easy-going, and caring nature that exhibits the capacity to be approachable by others, while reflecting God’s love, as manifested in Jesus Christ, to those with whom s/he would have contact.
