First United Methodist Church of Ocala, Florida, is excited to announce that we are receiving resumes for the full-time position of Director of Worship Arts. We are a 1900 member congregation in a county of 300,000 in one of the most rapidly growing parts of Florida. The Director of Worship Arts will be primarily responsible for working with the pastors to create and lead passionate, Christ-focused contemporary worship experiences at 9:40 on Sundays. Utilizing multi-media, drama, dance, and visual arts, this person will be responsible from top to bottom for coordinating with the weekly message to create diverse avenues for those who seek to worship God through these mediums. In addition, the Director of Worship Arts will coordinate with the Director of Music to bring Christ-centered experiences to the more traditional 8:30 and 11:00 worship times. The right candidate will bring a passion for worship born out of a personal walk with Christ, and the necessary skills and training to this position.
