Church of the Savior is a union church fully aligned with the United Church of Christ and Presbyterian(USA) churches. We are looking for a full time ordained Protestant lead pastor to inspire our theologically moderate to conservative congregation located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In preparation for our search, we conducted an extensive survey of the pastoral expectations of our members here at Church of the Savior. The following listing represents the top ten qualities of ministry we seek in our new pastor:
1. We seek a minister who is a person of strong growing faith.
2. We seek a minister who is an effective teacher/preacher/speaker.
3. We seek a minister who makes pastoral calls on church members in hospitals and
nursing homes and to those confined to their homes.
4. We seek a minister who works regularly to bring new members into the church.
5. We seek a minister who is effective in working with children and youth.
6. We seek a minister who is an effective administrator.
7. We seek a minister who is mature and emotionally secure.
8. We seek a minister who leads by example.
9. We seek a minister who is a compassionate and caring person, sensitive to
others needs.
